Our pool covers are constructed of a heavy duty woven polyethylene material, black one side, silver the other.  Seams in the material are sealed together, so no stitching is used.  With no stitching, the seams will last much longer than traditional sewn seams, which decay over time from UV rays.  Sealed seams will last as long as the material.
